Vertical measures in type design

gxnh-minion

I was reading a post about vertical measures such as baselines, x-height and others… that i thought it would be interesting to share with you all.
Everything is quite well explained with examples, its pretty much the kind of information i’ve seen in some typography books.
If you are looking for more information on this, i recently got myself a nice typography book called Designing Type by Karen Cheng its a very good book, it helps undestand how types are made and explains how to make your own. I know this kind of information is taught in art schools but i know some schools don’t teach typography on the right way and some people miss out on these things.

You can read the post i was talking about here
