Polar Bear are in danger, and according to wikipedia “The IUCN now lists global warming as the most significant threat to the polar bear, primarily because the melting of its sea ice habitat reduces its ability to find sufficient food. The IUCN states, “If climatic trends continue polar bears may become extirpated from most of their range within 100 years. On May 14, 2008, the United States Department of the Interior listed the polar bear as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act“.

Plane Stupid says: a flight in europe produces 400 kg of CO2 per passenger in average (i really don’t know how they measured this up) and they came up with this ad, to tell people to stop using planes to save polar bears.
Actually the 400 kg of CO2 is about the same weight as an Adult polar bear, also a damm good reason to stay away from them if you happen to see one in the wild…
Note: the only sounds in the ad are the broken bones of polar bears and planes.

This ad was released few days ago, not a long time before the Copenhagen 2009 climate change conference.
It would be nice if we could save the bears :)
