Honda Channel 4 Documentaries (sponsored post)
If you happen to be in England and have channel 4, you might have seen a new serie of mini documentaries made by Honda.
These mini documentaries were created by the agency Wieden + Kennedy in London and they will be on the air from June 2nd onwards. In the videos they basically they show how some people use Honda motorbikes. For this campaign they also created a website where you can see the full videos they made, share them on twitter, facebook, etc. Put your own stories of you and your motorbike, share them with other people on their website and maybe get the chance to be on TV…
The first documentary is about a woman raising Alpacas. It reminds me a little of the place where i was born in Argentina, because these animals come from the Andes (part of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Peru…) These are the cousins of the well known llamas and the less known guanacos but they are not exactly the same, and if you like them you should really go visit some natural parks in South America like El Leoncito.
So just in case you missed it, you can see the first one here:
So, speaking about this viral ad, I think it’s interesting the way they use storytelling to engage communication with their public giving them a chance to be on tv. It’s an ad for motorbikes but it does not look like one because they try to focus on the story and not the product, and there is no big logo or tagline at the end, only a glimpse of the product during the video.
