The Chase – Intel
0Making an ad for a microprocessor is not an easy task, not a very sexy thing to sell, but Intel and the agency Venables Bell & Partners, USA had the intelligence to make an ad that is buzzing all around this week.
The film is called “The chase”, and it’s all about… well… a chase… some men chasing a woman with an envelope, but what is interesting here is that it uses all kind of things and programs in the computer to show this chase and what the new processor can do. (more…)
Starbucks new logo
0
Starbucks is turning 40 in march and to celebrate this occasion, the brand decided to change their very well known logo.
Some people already hate the new logo and other people love it. I believe the siren is a bit better drawn and look more friendly but i regret pretty much the absence of typography. Sounds to me like they are taking for granted that their brand is known by all in all countries. Which outside some countries it is not the case.
Mc Donnalds logo for example is known pretty much everywhere because they are pretty much everywhere, but Starbucks i know many places where people still don’t know the brand and if they see just the siren well they may not even know the name of the brand. i know this may seem dumb but i think that it’s important that they put their name somewhere.
You can see below the different logos of the brand and the official video of the presentation. (more…)
The art of drowning
0Diego Mclean made this incredible animation based in the poem “The art of drowning” by Billy Collins.
I love the way it’s been drawn and i think the voice goes well with the poem that is read.
This animation was selected in several festivals (Annency, Sundance film festival, Toronto international film festival and many more.) (more…)
Rio 2016 olympic games logo

The new logo for the Olympic games of Rio in 2016 has been released few days ago.
There were 139 propositions for this logo but the chosen one was made by the studio Tatil in Brazil.
Some people think they got inspired by the telluride foundation logo or the matisse painting “the dance” you can read more on that here, but i really like the shape and i think it works well with the olympic games theme… oh yes! and i love the type they chose :)
You can see here below the official video for the presentation of the logo (more…)
