Yulia Brodskaya – Paper illustrations

0

Yulia Brodskaya makes outstanding illustrations/typography using paper.

Yulia was born in Russia and now she’s living in London where she works for big clients like Hermes, Nokia, Starbucks, Wired, Ferrero, Orange, The new york times magazine and many more.

When i look at her artwork, i see i how patient she is and her love for detail and typography.
If you wonder what is the technique used to achieve these results it’s called “quilling” and it’s 100% handmade. The result is incredibly beautiful.

Some of her work has been featured in several important design magazines such as Etapes, Computer Arts, Creative Review and many more.

You can see some examples below:

The Monk & The Monkey

0

Brendan Carroll & Francesco Giroldini made this amazing animation film while studying at Ringling College of Art + Design.
The film shows the story of a little boy called Ragu, who follows his path in order to become a Monk and he has to do one more test before being accepted as one.

It’s a really cute, well directed film. The music is by Erez Koskas.

100 cats take over Ikea!

2

Did you ever wonder what would happen if one hundred cats were set loose in a big shop like Ikea for one night?
I’m guessing the answer is no for most of you, but someone actually did wonder about this and Ikea liked the idea, so they did it…
They brought one hundred of the most cute cats they could find and they filmed them for a night, just to see what they would do in the shop.

The result is by far one of the cutest ads of the year, and if you love cats, i’m pretty sure you will love this :) (more…)

Edward McGowan

Edward McGowan is a very talented illustrator from UK.
Inspired by advertisings back in the 60′s, his illustrations are made with traditional techniques like serigraphy.
I really like the way he creates accidents in his images, and the colors.
You can see most of his work in magazines like: Research World Magazine, The Times, Paste Magazine, Spectrum, etc
