Locked in a Vegas Hotel Room – Slow motion

0

Tom Guilmette was locked in a room in Vegas when he decided to try out a new Phantom Flex high speed digital cinema camera that was around… He decided to film banal things like drops, shower, himself but at 2,564 frames per second, for information a regular film is around 25 frames per second, sometimes a bit more depending on the resolution, so basically it’s around 100 times slower than what we see usually. I think the music is really well chosen and the way it’s been put together too…nice work!

Canon is running a contest between photographers. They are asked to take a look at a picture, imagine a story from that picture and make a film.
The film is made with their new HD DSLR cameras Canon 7D.
So Vincent Laforet made this really beautiful video for the contest and he’s hoping to win.
Note this is only the first chapter, i really want to see how this goes on on the next one!
By the way the making of is included below. Enjoy :)

Toronto Lightning storm

0

I have always liked big storms, the sound of thunders, water, and the smell in the air…
Sam Javanrouh did this amazing timelapse video of a Toronto storm.
He did a 347 frame shot on Canon 5D Mark II and Sigma 12-24.
Using 15 seconds exposures at f8, at 17 seconds intervals.
He also recorded the sound and then put everything together :)
