Triangle by Onur Senturk
0Onur Senturk directed this really cool animation called “triangle” for the book ‘Black Material’ which showcases Robert Knoke’s artwork.
Onur got inspired by the black and white aspect of Robert’s art and some geometrical forms. The result is stunning :)

A growing pile of work
0
Siggi Eggertsson is a great illustrator from island.
He had a pile of personal and rejected work he did for some clients somewhere between 2003 to 2009 sitting on his desk until one nice day he decided to do something amazing with it.
So he did this little animation i like very much. It’s very simple and hypnotic and the music goes very well with it.

Puma’s Clever Little Bag
0After 21 months of work Puma and Fuseproject just relased their new ecologic packaging for their shoes.
It’s called ‘Clever Little Bag’. It is basically a bag, and a cardboard structure inside.
The cardboard has been reduced by 65% maintaining the structure of a box.
There is no laminated printing and no tissue paper, weight less, cost less to produce and you still get a bag to carry your shoes around.
This will probably save the brand millions of dollars and allowing them to go green and make a better brand image.
Not to mention the fact that people carrying the bags will indirectly advertise the brand for them by using them in every day life.
So it’s a pretty clever move in my opinion. (more…)
Alexander McQueen R.I.P.
0I still can’t believe it, i saw it last night in the news and i was like “What?!”…
Alexander McQueen has been found dead yesterday, he was only 40 years old :(
I know i am not used to post a lot of fashion designers on this blog, but i wanted to show his work today for those who never knew it.
Alexander (Lee) studied at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, wich is the same school where John Galliano (Dior) came from.
Alexander used to have a little something for “death” and he cleverly shocked people with his shows, he was known as “l’enfant terrible” or the “hooligan” because of his reputation and controversy.
His work included brands like Givenchy and Gucci and he dressed people like Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, Björk, Madonna, Rihanna and David Bowie.
I know some people will hate what he did and some will love it, but i believe we’ve just lost an incredible designer.
What i liked about him is that he was always trying to “go further” in design, do things in a way they were not done before. There was nothing banal about his work…he will be missed.
Here’s some of Alexander’s work:
