Sex & the city 2 review
0
A couple of days ago, i had the chance to be invited by Taillefine to the avant première of Sex and the city 2 in a very Chic place of Paris, where they were also presenting a new flavour for their diet soda Taillefine Fiz (Pineapple, Mango) which is comming out this summer in France.
I really liked the tv serie, so i went there with a good friend of mine and we had a good time (and a lot of champagne!).
The film happens 2 years after the end of the first film… (more…)
Monsieur Qui – Illustrations
1If you like fashion, street art, and trendy things you probably heard of Monsieur Qui.
A great french illustrator i discovered while walking in the streets of Paris and it’s really really good! Recently i got informed that he joined the collagene agency. Enjoy :)
Alexander McQueen R.I.P.
0I still can’t believe it, i saw it last night in the news and i was like “What?!”…
Alexander McQueen has been found dead yesterday, he was only 40 years old :(
I know i am not used to post a lot of fashion designers on this blog, but i wanted to show his work today for those who never knew it.
Alexander (Lee) studied at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, wich is the same school where John Galliano (Dior) came from.
Alexander used to have a little something for “death” and he cleverly shocked people with his shows, he was known as “l’enfant terrible” or the “hooligan” because of his reputation and controversy.
His work included brands like Givenchy and Gucci and he dressed people like Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, Björk, Madonna, Rihanna and David Bowie.
I know some people will hate what he did and some will love it, but i believe we’ve just lost an incredible designer.
What i liked about him is that he was always trying to “go further” in design, do things in a way they were not done before. There was nothing banal about his work…he will be missed.
Here’s some of Alexander’s work:
A bit cross
0Industrial design keeps amazing me constantly!
Recently i found this laser sintered stainless steel pendant called “A bit cross” and despite any religious points of view we might all have. I think it’s brilliant, the way they reused this sign to do something really useful out of it.
It was designed by michiel cornelissen and you can try to get one at his website
The cross has 3 tools in it: 2 regular screw drivers and the IKEA standard tool, these can be really handy!
